Dr. Mazyck is a postdoctoral psychology fellow with extensive training in neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, with a professional focus on psychoeducational, neurodevelopmental, and forensic evaluations. Throughout her clinical training, she has conducted comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults with a broad range of neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions, including neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, movement disorders, and multiple sclerosis. She is passionate about providing culturally responsive, evidence-based evaluations that help individuals better understand their cognitive strengths and challenges while informing diagnosis, treatment planning, and recommendations to support everyday functioning.
Dr. Mazyck is also actively engaged in research and teaching. Her research interests include neurodegenerative disorders, cognitive aging, and health disparities, with a focus on improving understanding of the factors that influence cognitive outcomes across diverse populations. She has presented her research at national conferences and serves as an adjunct psychology instructor, where she enjoys mentoring and supporting the professional development of future mental health providers.
Dr. Mazyck earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston and completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in the Neuropsychology Track at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. She completed a year-long neuropsychology fellowship, gaining advanced training in neuropsychological evaluations with diverse clinical populations, and she is currently continuing her post-doctoral training with a focus on forensic evaluations while pursuing board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
