Dr. Carolyn Johnson is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Delaware, where, in addition to a clinical course of study, she researched compulsive and risky behaviors.
She has trained in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience entails working with children, adolescents, and adults; performing individual, couples, and group therapy; and leading psychotherapeutic, illness education, anger management, and social skills groups.
Dr. Johnson has been practicing in Georgia since 1996 and worked in a community mental health setting for a year before entering private practice. In that capacity, she developed policies and procedures for a therapeutic residential group home in addition to clinical work. Dr. Johnson has worked with referrals from DFCS, Juvenile Courts, schools, pediatricians, therapists, and various community agencies. Her specialty area is psychological testing, including psychoeducational, developmental, autism spectrum, ADHD, and parental fitness evaluations. She is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association.
